The suspect in a Saturday night stabbing at the Flying J truck stop in Lake Point is still on the run, according to the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office.

The stabbing centered around a disagreement over parking stalls. The passenger of a semitrailer was stabbed once in the abdomen by the driver of another truck during the disagreement, according to the sheriff’s office.

The victim in the stabbing was conscious and able to speak with investigators but refused to share details about the incident, according to Tooele County Sheriff Lt. Ron Johnson. Due to the abdominal stab wound, the victim was flown by helicopter to the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was wearing sweatpants with Puma written down the side and red tennis shoes. The suspect was driving a semitrailer with a light blue, gray or white cab, pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with uncovered lumber.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the semitrailer or the suspect in the case should contact the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office at 435-882-5600.
