Jose Procopio Espinoza peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on Nov. 30, 2016. He was born Jan. 24, 1919, in Las Tusas, New Mexico. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to Tooele in 1950 where he worked in the carpenter shop at the Tooele Army Depot for 29 years, retiring in 1979. He was a longtime member of St. Marguerite Catholic Church. Jose enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Helen; sons Daniel and Steven, four grandsons and one great-grandson. This loving father is survived by his son Joe (Michelle); daughters Annie Jarrell, Barbara Grover, Alice Kohles (Steven), Kathy Trusty and Benora Peasnall (Butch); 21 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, five sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was greatly loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. A viewing will be held at Tate Mortuary on Monday, Dec. 5, from 6-8 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. Services will be held at St. Marguerite Catholic Church on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 11 p.m. Interment will be at Tooele City Cemetery following the services.
