Some Stansbury Park residents were left in the dark Tuesday night after a power fuse reportedly failed.
The outage, just before 7:30 p.m., took out power to 861 customers in the northeast area of the township, said Margaret Oler, a representative for Rocky Mountain Power.
“A fuse near the fire station failed and had to be repaired,” she said.
Workers were able to restore power to 515 customers by 10:27 p.m., and got the lights back on for the remaining 346 customers by 11 p.m.
Oler said the repair was a matter of maintenance and normal wear and tear rather than a specific event that caused the fuse to fail.
“Equipment from time to time, simply as it is used, has to be repaired, replaced,” she said. “[Crews] went out there, they made their repairs and restored power.”
