The United Methodist Women are hosting their annual Fall Boo-Tique this Friday and Saturday at Tooele United Methodist Church.

The event was founded by the women’s group several years ago to provide a place where women could make crafts and sell them. Since then the event has grown in popularity.

This year the Boo-Tique will feature crocheted products, hand-crafted soap and tote bags, homemade jams, classic autumn Sentsies, Halloween-themed cross-stitch products, baby blankets and children’s activities. Several other gifts for family and friends will also be available.

The United Methodist Women host the annual event to raise money for local charity activities.

“We try to raise money for the biggest need at the time,” said Glenice Moore, a member of the women’s group.

Last year, they raised money to buy winter coats for school children in need. They’ve also raised money for the Crossroads Foundation, a Hong Kong-based non-profit organization whose goal is to “connect people in a broken world.”

The United Methodist Women have also, on several occasions, donated to local students who are trying to raise money for educational travels.

The Fall Boo-Tique is open to the public, and booth space is available. For more information, contact Moore at 435-830-1443. Tooele United Methodist Church is located at 78 E. Utah Ave., in Tooele.
