Our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Mark passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2015, at the age of 81. We know he is rejoicing in a wonderful reunion with his loved ones who preceded him in death. He was born to William Smith and Lenore Ovedia (Brandhagen) Moyers on Aug. 10, 1933, in Boulder, Colorado. Immediately upon graduating in 1951 from Fremont High School in Oakland, California, Mark left to serve in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After the war, he went to work with his father at the Moyers Paint Store in San Leandro, California. He met Margaret Pugh on a blind date at the 1957 California State Fair. After some months of woo, they married in March of 1958, and settled in the California Bay Area, where they lived for 45 years. In 2003, they moved to Utah. Mark earned his brokers license and worked for nearly 50 years in real estate. He loved to work in the field of sales as he was a true people person. He had a positive outlook on life and taught his children that a positive attitude was not only obtainable, but helped them to endure and overcome many trials. He loved viewing and attending sports events, and playing golf and the occasional poker game. Mark made it very obvious to his children and grandchildren that he was very proud of them. Mark is survived by his wife Margaret and their four children: Michelle (Steve) Pruden of Tooele; Matthew (Priscilla) Moyers of Pleasanton, California; Michael (Lori) Moyers of Sacramento, California; and Mitchel (Laurie) Moyers of Salt Lake City. He also is survived by eleven grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30 at Tate Mortuary (110 S. Main St., Tooele, Utah). Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31 at the Overlake 3rd Ward building (1717 Berra Blvd., Tooele, Utah).
