Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend passed away peacefully the morning of June 27, 2014. Alan was loved and known by many through the accomplishments he achieved. He was very successful in owning several apparel-manufacturing businesses. He had a love and passion for his Harleys, race horses, the outdoors, and most of all, his grandkids and great-grandkids who each knew of his unconditional love. Alan will be missed. He was survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Joyce; his sidekick Nicki; his daughter Juli Brunson, son Troy (Lisa) Norton; six grandkids; three great-grandsons and two granddaughters on the way; three brothers: Glen, Larry and Bruce; one sister, Pam; and many nieces and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, sister Karen and brother Genie. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. where friends may visit with family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Special thanks to Dr. Cahill and the U of U lung transplant unit and the wonderful care from Stephanie with Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations.
